Volunteers are delivering necessities in Brandon area

BRANDON — A group of volunteers is giving their time to Brandon-area residents who can’t get out to shop for food or other necessities during this time of social distancing.
Brandon Area Deliveries is serving Brandon, Forest Dale, Goshen, Leicester, Pittsford, Sudbury and Whiting.
People who are at a greater risk of contracting the coronavirus and anyone else who is unable to access their normal method of getting necessities (food, supplies, pharmacy, etc.) are invited to take advantage of the wonderful volunteers that have stepped up in the Brandon-area community. The Brandon Free Public Library, Brandon Area Toy Project and town of Brandon have partnered to provide a delivery service for people that need help getting their supplies.
Here’s how it works:
1.  Call the retailer and pay for your supplies over the phone.
2.  Let the retailer know that you are having the delivery service pick-up your items.
3.  Send an email to: [email protected] with the following information: Who you are, where you ordered from, physical address for delivery, and best contact number. Or you can call Volunteer Coordinator Colleen Wright at (802) 282-6548.
4.  Wait for contact from the group’s vetted volunteer. They will let you know how/when and where it will be dropped off. For the sake of safely, of course, there will be no face-to-face contact.
Those who would like to volunteer their services may call Wright at the number above.
