Alfreda Anna (Hagan) LaFrance, 90, of Bristol, Vt., and Lakeland, Fla.
BRISTOL — Alfreda LaFrance was born on July 31, 1929, at home on Fitch Street in Bristol, Vt. She was the third daughter born to Alfred John and Gertrude (Tennien) Hagan. Our loving mom went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 19, 2020, while living in Lakeland, Fla.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Osborne Oscar LaFrance; son, Osborne Joseph; grandson, Jonathan Brown; and sisters Gladys Hagan and Helen Cyr.
Alfreda was first and foremost a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother with a gentle soul and a loving heart for her family. Her sisters were her best friends. They worked part-time together at the Bristol Inn and the Dog Team Tavern. Retiring after working over 40 years at Drake and Smith, she and Osborne began spending their winters in Lakeland and summers in Bristol.
Surviving her are her children Virginia Moulton, Sandy Krueger, and Michael LaFrance; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren Julie and Raymond Hoppenworth and their daughter Kaley; Jerry Matthew Moulton; Jennifer and Willie Bivins and their children Jordan and Haley; Star LaFrance and Braeden Mylott and their children Aurora and Braeden Jr.; Brittanie Holmes and her daughter Penelope; and Zachary Trudeau and his son Sawyer.
A memorial celebration of her sweet smile and loving and kind spirit will be held at Mount St. Joseph’s in Bristol once it is safe to gather again.◊
