Commodore girls’ hoop rolls past Hazen

VERGENNES — The Vergennes Union High School girls’ basketball team on Monday rolled to a 52-34 victory over visiting Hazen. The Commodores improved to 5-4 with their fifth win in six games.
VUHS outscored Hazen, 15-6, in the second quarter to take control of Monday’s game.
Kate Gosliga led the attack with 19 points, and Felicia Poirier added seven. Alleigh Gaboree led Hazen with nine points.
The Commodores were set to visit Otter Valley on Wednesday evening and will visit Middlebury on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
