MUHS dancers earn two bronzes at state championship

VERGENNES — The Middlebury Union High School dance team finished third in the state in both of its disciplines at the Vermont championship competition, staged this past Saturday evening at Vergennes Union High School.
The Tiger squad fared well in statewide competitions in both the Hip Hop and Jazz disciplines with strong performances, trailing only winner Mount Mansfield and runner-up Lamoille in both events.
Springfield took fourth in Hip Hop, and South Burlington was fourth in Jazz.
South Burlington won the Pom competition, followed by Colchester, Mount Anthony and Springfield.

The Tigers have routinely placed in the top three in their competitions this winter.
The top four teams in each discipline on Saturday qualified to compete in the New England championships, to be held on March 9 at Braintree High School in Braintree, Mass.
