‘Age Well’ will debut tai chi classes Jan. 14
VERGENNES — Age Well is sponsoring tai chi classes in Vergennes beginning Jan. 14 andrunning through April 10. Tai chi is a discipline that gets you moving, helps reduce stress and hypertension, builds strength, improves balance and promotes mental clarity and mindfulness.
Some of the classes will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays:
• Beginner Tai Chi for Fall Prevention (Parts 1 and 2): Monday & Wednesday, 10-10:50 a.m., Jan. 14-April 10. Instructor: Dan Bagley. Contact: [email protected].
• Intermediate Tai Chi for Fall Prevention (Part 3): Monday & Wednesday, 11-11:50 a.m., Jan. 14-April 10. Instructors: Beverly Blakeney- beverlyblakeney@gmail: Lee Francis lhfrancis839gmail.com.
There will also be Tuesday classes:
• Sun Style 73-Long form: Tuesday, 10-11:50 a.m., Jan. 15-April 9. Must have taken Beginner and Intermediate Tai Chi for Fall Prevention or permission of instructor. Instructors: Beverly Blakeney at [email protected] or Doreen Peterson at [email protected].
• Advanced/Maintenance Tai Chi for Fall Prevention: Tuesdays, 11-11:50 a.m., Jan. 15-April 9. Instructor Lee Francis: Contact lhfrancis839@gmail.
