I have worked with Peter Newton on a number of projects this past year. He has been resourceful, hard working and kind hearted. Through his campaign for Addison County sheriff, he has had the utmost enthusiasm, drive and direction.
Peter’s 15 years of law enforcement and public safety has led him to solid goals for Addison County. I am particularly impressed with his vision to establish a cadet program that would focus on a peer support program to help at risk youths for suicide and drug prevention; along with establishing a county-wide school resource officer for all schools who currently don’t have one. Our youth need guidance and protection. These are only two of his wide-ranging goals.
Peter Newton’s long-term service, training, enthusiasm, and vision would serve us well as Addison County sheriff.
