Jade turned 12 in June. We adopted her at seven months from a shelter in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont — she was found as a stray wandering around a college parking lot. Jade beat cancer two and a half years ago and since then she has had a new lease on life! She never used to care for dog toys and now she loves the companionship of this little bear as well as some traditional chew toys. Jade is my best friend and I am eternally grateful for her second chance.
