Letter to the editor: Elect Jerome for House seat

I’m voting for Stephanie Jerome for the Vermont House because she is kind to me. She was kind to me and my family when we first moved to Brandon and she has been unfailingly kind to us since. But I don’t think I’m special in that regard. She treats everybody that way.
With her husband, Stephanie founded and grew a successful business in Brandon. She knows the challenges employers in Vermont face, and new businesses face. She’s served on numerous boards, such as the Brandon Planning Commission, which she chairs. She’s a hard worker. She’s thorough. She’s smart.
She’s ready for the job of state rep. She knows our community and the issues it faces. She’s a cancer survivor, so “good health care” isn’t just a talking point to her. She sent her kids to our public schools and to UVM, so she knows our education system and its challenges, too. She’s a Rutland County native. She made a deliberate choice to return here, and raise her children here.
I also think Stephanie would do very well for us in Montpelier. She’s friendly to everybody and easy to talk with. She’s articulate, but she’s also an excellent listener. She’s the sort of person you can count on to return phone calls.
Most of all, you can count on her to keep her word.
It’s very easy for me to support such a good friend and good person to represent our district.
