Cocktails and comedy on tap May 12

MIDDLEBURY — Local stand-up comedian Pierre Vachon will provide the laughs with a range of jokes, jibes and humorous commentary on the current political scene guaranteed to tickle your funny bone on Saturday, May 12, 7 pm at Appalachian Gap Distillery. The Addison County Democratic Committee hosts the event.
Vachon has performed stand up comedy throughout the U.S and Canada. His TV credits include numerous TV commercials plus a special guest on MTV’s “Shot of Love With Tila Tequila.” He is known for his over the top style of comedy and energy. You never know what to expect when Pierre is on stage.
The evening provides an opportunity  to enjoy lighthearted entertainment while supporting local Democratic political candidates. There will be a cash bar cocktail hour with Vermont made liquors, beer and wine and a silent auction of items and services from Vermont businesses and artists — including a landscaping consultation, gift certificates to 3 Squares Restaurant and Otter Creek Yoga, theatre tickets to Middlebury Actors’ Workshop’s fall production, gift baskets, maple syrup, cut glass and numerous other items. 
Appalachian Gap Distillery is at 88 Mainelli Rd, just off Exchange St., in Middlebury Tickets may be purchased in advance for $15 at Appalachian Gap Distillery Monday-Saturday 1-5 p.m. or purchased at the door for $20.
