Doors tribute to raise funds for leukemia

MIDDLEBURY — Next Thursday, April 13, Middlebury’s Marquis Theater will present “End of The Night ? A Tribute to the Music of The Doors” to benefit a fundraising drive spearheaded by Silver Maple Construction’s Sean Flynn. Watch Vermont Allstars Josh Panda, Clint Bierman, Tyler Mast and Sean Preece channel “The Doors” on the big stage, and help raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).
In memory of Flynn’s father, grandmother, aunt and the many others who have fallen to leukemia andlymphoma, Flynn and friends have begun a fundraising drive to assist research into viable cancer cures.
In addition to the Marquis fundraiser, Flynn is part of a team that plans to complete a 100-mile bike ride in Lake Tahoe on June 4. “Team Jack” is accepting donations online via its LLS “Team in Training” webpage in honor of the many people who continue to fight and survive their battle withleukemia and lymphoma.
“The Marquis is proud to support Sean Flynn’s effort to raise money for LLS. It will be a great night for a very worthy cause,” the Marquis’ owner Ben Wells said.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Music from 8-10 p.m. A portion of the $10 cover will benefit LLS. Tickets available at the door or in advance at Eventbrite  (search “The Doors Middlebury Marquis.”) To make a donation to Flynn’s LLS “Team in Training” page, visit: www.teamintraining.org.
