Hospice giving away Nashville vacation in March 25 raffle

MIDDLEBURY — The Annual Addison County Hospice Fundraiser is coming up this weekend.
Our two local hospice agencies — Hospice Volunteer Services and Addison County Home Health and Hospice — are holding this major fundraiser, which, as usual, includes a raffle for a huge vacation. The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at a big event at the Middlebury Inn this Saturday, March 25, 4-6 p.m. The ticket drawing party will also feature silent and live auctions with comedic calling by Tim Buskey.
HVS & ACHHH are again teaming up with Milne Travel for the Dream Vacation Raffle.  This year the raffle is a chance to win a 6-night/7-day NASCAR and/or Nashville Vacation. Second prize is $500 in cash.
In the spirit of the grand prize, Saturday’s party will feature a country barbeque with local smoked meats and produce and samplings of gourmet desserts from right here in Addison County.
Among the local auto racing notables on-hand will be Phil Scott, governor of the state of Vermont and a race legend. Those who feel so moved may come in street dress or in NASCAR/Nashville-theme outfits (cowboy hats and handkerchiefs, checkered flags and race suits, you know).
Raffle tickets are $25 apiece. Admission to Saturday’s party at the Middlebury Inn is $25.
Ticket sellers for both the raffle and the party are Sweet Cecily, Vermont Book Shop, Middlebury Inn, G. Stone Motors, Addison County Home Health & Hospice, Hospice Volunteer Services, Rosie’s Restaurant or call HVS volunteer Marita Schine at 989-9539. Raffle tickets can also be purchased online through March 24 at www.biddingforgood.com/vthospice.
