Starksboro man cited for gun, restraining order violations
STARKSBORO — Vermont State Police cited Duane Bedell, 51, of Starksboro, for violation of a temporary restraining order and unlawful possession of a firearm, stemming from an incident at a Starksboro home on Dec. 16.
State police said they were contacted by the Department of Probation and Parole about the alleged relief from abuse order violation. It was during their investigation that VSP said they concluded that Bedell had violated the court order and was also in possession of “multiple firearms and drugs.”
Police said they searched the home and seized all the firearms and drugs they found. They placed Beddell under arrest and ultimately took him to the Chittenden County Correctional Center where he was lodged on $2,500 bail. Police said Bedell was also issued several criminal tickets by the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
