It would be better if drivers used turn signals properly, which means turning them on before you turn. I keep having a car in front of me slow down with brake lights and wondering what are they about to do.
Can I pass them? Will they do whatever they want to do soon. Do I need to get out to help them?
No, they then start to turn, which answers the question. Then they turn on turn signals, as if that added anything.
Once they are turning, they don’t need to use turn signals, since we can see that they are turning. It is before they turn, like 100 or 200 feet before they turn that they need to use the signal, not after it is obvious that they are turning, and not after they are already pressing the brake pedal.
Please drivers, be more thoughtful about turn signals. Give the driver behind you an opportunity to slow down to give you time to turn.
