Author Wolff to discuss her inspiration this Saturday

SALISBURY — Much-loved children’s book author and illustrator, Ashley Wolff, will be the featured guest at the Salisbury Free Public Library on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. Ms. Wolff will read from some of her books, introduce the audience to her son Rowan (who inspired the “Stella and Roy” books) and demonstrate how she illustrates her stories. Addison County families with young children are cordially invited to this free fun-filled event. Refreshments will be provided.
Ashley Wolff, who grew up in Middlebury and is now a full-time resident of Leicester, has written and/or illustrated over 60 books for children. She is the illustrator of the popular “Miss Bindergarten”series, stories about a classroom of animal characters taught by a multi-tasking border collie, as well as “Compost Stew” (written by Mary McKenna Siddals), “Baby Bear Counts One” and “Baby Bear Sees Blue.”
This event is co-sponsored by Addison County Readers, Inc., which promotes early literacy through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL). Wolff is the Ambassador of DPIL and its local fundraising group, Addison County Readers, Inc. Children registered with this program receive a new free book each month from birth to age 5.
All those attending this event will be encouraged to sign up. The Salisbury librarian, Marilyn Taylor McDowell, is happy to help families register their children.
Please come join us at this very special event!
