RSVP honors over 100 volunteers at luncheon

MIDDLEBURY — RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) recently held its annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon at the Middlebury Inn. More than 100 volunteers gathered to be honored for their service to nonprofit organizations throughout Addison County. 
Recognized for 25 years of service were Anita Duclos, Alta Fageley and Margaret Wesley; for 15 years, Sylvia Coffin, Denise Gibeault, Alice Munson, Suzanne Sawyer and Bonnie Stevens; for 10 years, Eugenie Doyle, Shirley LaBerge, Norene Lattrell, Sandra Salgado and Nikki Zammuto; and for five years, Ann Brousseau, Ruth Barenbaum, Niles Bora, Tricia Bunal, Ronnie Chirnoff, Maura Clancy, Mary Corbett, Anna Hardway, Mar Harrison, Judy Jessup, Charles Kilbourne, Tom Jessup, Tom Morrow, Pat Morrow, Jeff Rehbach, Lawrence Randall, Paul Viko and Ed Wageman.
RSVP members were celebrated for having donated more than 75,000 hours at 126 local nonprofit organizations, contributing more than $1.8 million dollars to the community this past year. Addison County businesses and individuals showed their tremendous support by contributing 75 items and gift certificates, worth over $1,500, which were all distributed to the volunteers as thank yous.
