VERGENNES — Investment industry professional Nicholas Strom-Olsen has partnered with independent brokerage firms LPL Financial of Boston and Private Advisor Group of Morristown, N.J., to form Vermont Retirement Planners LLC, a new financial advisory firm based in Vergennes. The new company will provide financial planning advice to individuals and businesses based on research from multiple providers and have access to a broad suite of financial products and services.

Strom-Olsen says his goal is to walk clients through the complex and challenging process of planning for and transitioning into retirement.

Strom-Olsen is a graduate of Castleton University, and earned his MBA from Clarkson University. Prior to founding VTRP, he worked for The AYCO Company LP, in Albany, N.Y., as a senior financial planner; he worked for Advest Inc. in Greenwich, Conn., as a financial planner; and he worked for Berkshire Bank for 11 years as a vice president and senior financial consultant for their investment services division.
He was recently named a “Top Next Gen Independent Broker/Dealer Advisor” by REP. Magazine.
