Vermont veterans benefits office gets new renovations
VERMONT — The White River Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center recently reopened the White River Junction VA Regional Veterans Benefits Administration Office. To mark the occasion, officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony this past Friday with guest speakers Sen. Patrick Leahy and Rep. Peter Welch in attendance.
The renovation of the White River Junction Benefits Office was accomplished in order to bring the Vermont office up to VBA facility standards and improve its ability to serve veterans in this part of New England. The new layout makes the most of technology, including the Veterans Benefits Management System that has helped speed claims processing for veterans nationwide.
Renovation of the VA Benefits Office cost approximately $3.2 million and was accomplished in just under three years, from design to completion of construction.
The aim of consolidating VBA services on Veterans Health Administration campuses is to create seamless support and services in one location for the nation’s veterans.
