Free camping offered to military families

LEICESTER — John and Chris Herriman, owners of Country Village Campground in Leicester, will close the campground to the public from Aug. 14-16 to host their eighth annual free camping weekend for military families. The weekend is 100-percent hosted and paid for by local businesses and organizations. The weekend includes free camping, all meals, supervised swimming, volleyball, bocce ball, a wood project for the kids, arts and crafts, campfires, and of course a lot of talking, laughing and having fun.
