CVAA offers Tai Chi classes

VERMONT — CVAA has announced the schedule for its winter schedule Tai Chi for Arthritis classes. Classes are offered at no charge and are open to adults age 50 and over. Tai chi can help seniors stay independent and take control of their health, as well as improve balance, muscle strength, breathing, agility, energy levels and mood.
Beginning classes are planned as follows:
•  Brandon: Vermont Sports Medicine Center. Classes started Dec. 9 and will run Mondays and Thursdays through Feb. 6 from 4:30-5:15 p.m.
•  Bristol: Holley Hall, Mondays and Thursdays, Feb. 24-April 17, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
•  Middlebury: Eastview, Wednesdays and Fridays, Jan. 22-March 15, 9:30-10:30 a.m.; and Middlebury Fitness, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 21-March 13, 1-2 p.m.
•  Vergennes: St. Peter’s Parish Hall, Mondays and Wednesdays, Jan. 22-March 17, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
CVAA is also offering advanced tai chi classes for those who have already completed the regular Tai Chi for Arthritis class. Those classes will be held in Bristol at Holley Hall on Mondays and in Middlebury at Middlebury Fitness and Eastview, both on Wednesdays. Call for times and dates.
