Highbush blueberries produce large, sweet berries that ripen beginning in early to mid-July with peak season typically occurring in early August.
There’s nothing like the taste of a fresh-picked strawberry. Sweet, juicy and flavorful, it’s the first fruit to ripen on our local farms, and this year’s crop is a good one.

Looking through seed catalogs, my mind leaps ahead to the growing season. I see lush green foliage and ripe, colorful fruits and vegetables.
Garlic grows well in many different soils and climates, but only varieties that are hardy and adapted to the Northeast will perform well here.
