Eldercare scholarships available

A Vermonter’s quality of life is significantly enhanced by their ability to receive in-home care versus residential care in a facility such as a nursing home.

The Middlebury Community Players will once again award two $1,000 scholarships to students who have graduated from high school within the last two years and who plan to attend college.

The Barre chapter of The Forty and Eight, a national veterans organization, is offering scholarships to qualified undergraduate students enrolled in academic programs of study leading to either associates or bachelor degrees in nursing.

The Addison County Firefighters Association’s Scholarship Committee this past spring announced that Karissa Livingston and Henry Carpenter were chosen to receive scholarships awarded to Addison County students.

The United Way of Addison County has announced this year’s three winners of its annual “Live United” Volunteer Scholarship Award: Anna Doucet of Bristol, Leaf Reiderer of Granville and Viviana Hammond of Middlebury.
