Letter to the editor: Energy credits tutorial helped

Thank you, Roger White, for demystifying the arcane subject of renewable energy credits.

The current legislative semester is crucial in Vermont’s effort to address the climate crisis.

Despite the recent rises in oil and propane prices, my wife and I are not paying more to heat our home this winter. That is because we use cold-climate heat pumps.

While our state strives to reach a goal of 75% of our energy from renewable sources by 2032, we do have obstacles.

Work on renewable energy projects made quiet but significant progress in our communities this past year.

I am a Bristol Energy Committee member and here are my thoughts on Vermont’s energy policy.
