RANDOLPH CENTER — The Vergennes boys and Middlebury girls fared best on Saturday at the Randolph High School Invitational Cross Country Meet, hosted by Randolph at Vermont Technical College. Athletes had to contend with cool, damp and breezy conditions, with a light drizzle throughout both races. The VUHS boys, led by Ben Huston’s sixth-place effort out of 174 competitors, finished fourth with 129 points.
