Point CounterPoint celebrates 60 years of magical summers

It’s more than just band camp… it’s Point CounterPoint. And this very special place, nestled on the shores of Lake Dunmore, is celebrating its six decades of nurturing young musical talents with an anniversary celebration this weekend, Sept. 29-Oct. 1.

For the past four decades, summertime in Salisbury has meant music — chamber music.

On Friday, Aug. 12, at 7:30 p.m., the Salisbury Summer Performance Series will host a concert by the session three faculty of Point Counterpoint Music Camp under music directors Rita Porfiris and Anton Miller.

On Friday, July 29, enjoy Point CounterPoint’s faculty concert, “Transfigured Night,” featuring genre-changing music by composers who changed the course of music over their careers.
