The NCAA Division III championship dreams of the Middlebury College women’s hockey team were dashed on Friday by the glove, blocker and pads of Elmira goalie Chloe Beaubien. The Panthers bowed out of the tournament in the semifinal.
After the Middlebury College team breezed through the NESCAC tournament, the dedicated crew defeated Johns Hopkins in the NCAA final, 2-0.
After losing a lead in the last second of the NCAA final, Middlebury hockey players dug deep and won the title in overtime on Saturday.
