NEW HAVEN — For some Vermont artists, nature not only inspires, it also serves as a resource. For one in Middlebury artist, foraging is an integral part of her creative process. Mud, buckthorn berry, goldenrod and black petunia are not materials found in most artists’ studios, yet for Middlebury painter Mira Cabrera they are essential supplies.
