I was a bit surprised to see the criticism about Middlebury College’s plans to reopen from Gregory Dennis in the July 2 paper. When my wife and I bought our house in Cornwall 20 years ago we knew that the college was an important part of the community, but have learned over the years just how important it is to all of us who are fortunate enough to call this area home.
