County kids score at 4-H Horse Quiz Bowl

The 2023 Addison County 4-H Horse Quiz Bowl was held Feb. 18 at the Shoreham Elementary School in Shoreham. Thirteen youths participated in the event.

The University of Vermont Morgan Horse Farm in Weybridge hosted the annual Addison County 4-H Hippology Contest on Jan. 21.

The nonprofit farm, run by co-founders Madison Berry and Jasmine Foster, is a training and adoption facility for wild horses. Berry and Foster bring the mustangs from out West to find forever homes in New England. 

I’d like to offer my sincere condolences to whoever lost two horses in a road accident on Route 116 recently. 

In writing of my experience, I am hopeful to elicit change.
