This flu season is worse than usual, get a shot

Local healthcare professionals say that while they’re seeing typical influenza symptoms this year, the virus is particularly contagious and flu season got off to an early start.

State health officials say it’s not too late to get a vaccine to protect against the worst impacts of the illness.
