Orwell gears up for summer Food Fest

Orwell’s scenic town green will host three farmers markets this summer that will showcase local growers while offering residents and visitors a bounty of fresh food.

While you are out and about this summer enjoying some fun in the sun, you are likely to work up an appetite. Fortunately there are plenty of farmers market in the area that are great in several ways.

Organizers hope the Middlebury Farmers’ Market will operate at the newly expanded and refurbished Triangle Park during the warmer months and at the VFW during cold months.

The Vergennes Farmers Market returned to its former downtown home this summer, and market co-director Christopher Reck said that location is a major reason why vendors enjoyed showing up at the market all those Thursdays
