Spooktacular 2022

Nov 3, 2022 | Photos of the Week

HUNDREDS OF KIDS came to Main Street in Middlebury this past Saturday afternoon with the twin goals of being seen in their great Halloween costumes and filling their bags, buckets and sacks with as much candy as they could. With the Better Middlebury Partnership’s Spooktacular in full swing, this was the right place to be. The gala returned after a couple of slow years because of the pandemic, and the kids (and their parents) were ready with plenty of scary ghosts, precious princesses, a menagerie of animals and a long list of creative choices. After merchants kindly handed out candy, many characters trooped to the Town Hall Theater for a family- friendly dance party with Bruce Zeman spinning the tunes. Independent photo/Angelo Lynn
