- NEARLY 300 PEOPLE of all ages participated in Sunday’s 22nd Annual TAM (Trail Around Middlebury) Trek. The day include a footrace around the entire 19-mile TAM, and 5K runs for adults and kids in Middlebury’s Wright Park The race is a major fundraiser for the Middlebury Area Land Trust, which in 1989 began building the TAM — a scenic trail spanning conserved lands in the communities of Middlebury, Cornwall, Weybridge and New Haven. Each year, it costs MALT more than $50,000 to maintain the TAM, so the trek is an important part of replenishing those resources. MALT Photos by Caleb Kenna Photography
