- UVM EXTENSION MASTER Gardeners Shari Johnson, Ann Collins and Barbara Greenwood have created and maintained the Cornwall Elementary School garden over the growing season. Freshly picked bite-size and slicing tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, green beans and onions fed students in a summer program at the school. This month the kindergarteners will harvest the pumpkins. Giant sunflowers welcome garden visitors. Additional work was done to weed an overgrown blueberry patch. Four bushes were cleared and staked. A major removal of weeds was also accomplished to establish a wildflower patch adjacent to the vegetable raised beds. Photos courtesy of Jill Vickers
