It’s a tough job, but somebody has to judge the pie-making contest at Foodaroo. Here, judges Claire Ayer, left, Anne Collins Haynie and Anya Hardy-Mittell compare the delicious contestant at the Middlebury food and fun fest in the Marble Works on Sunday. Organizers were happy with the 3,000 visitors and two dozen purveyors of food and drink were happy with the crowds, too.

Sunday’s Foodaroo was the backdrop as Tobin, on top, and David show the teamwork that has made the street performer act, the Red Trouser Show, a hit for two decades. The New Hampshire troupe performed at the first Foodaroo and they returned to Middlebury’s Marble Works for the 11th festival of food and fun.

As part of his ceremonial duties, Middlebury’s dog mayor Otto made an appearance at Foodaroo in the Marble Works on Sunday evening. The mayor got up close and personal when he met a “frank” introduced to him by his mom Julie Bushey.

Around 3,000 people attended Foodaroo in Middlebury on Sunday. As you can see, they swarmed the Marble Works parking lot to get good food from a couple dozen vendors. Many folks sat on the lawn while they ate their dinners while others crowded in for the amazing live entertainment.
