Police use dog, drones in search for teen

Middlebury police deployed drones and Middlebury police K-9 Guinnessto the Mary Hogan Drive area on Jan. 15 to search for a suicidal teen who was ultimately found by her mom.

Deputies helped an injured person seek medical care and handled more than 100 traffic stops.

Vergennes police are investigating a Jan. 5 report of Vergennes Union High School students giving each other tattoos at school.

On Jan. 9, Addison County Sheriff’s Department deputies looked into a call about a horse that had fallen on the ice in the middle of a field off Hawkins Road in Ferrisburgh.

Middlebury police cited Anthony Morocho, 22, of Elmhurst, N.Y., for driving under the influence near the intersection of College and Weybridge streets on Jan. 8.

Vermont State Police alleged that two different drivers were drunk while driving on Addison County roads this past week.

A Vermont State Police officer saw a motor vehicle violation on Court Street near Mary Hogan Drive in Middlebury at 15 minutes before midnight on Jan. 3.

On Jan. 2 Vergennes police were called to investigate a possible sex offense in the city.

Bristol police on Dec. 19 received a report of a vehicle stolen from Main Street.

On Jan. 2 County Sheriff Mike Elmore reported that Samantha Hatch, 23, of Whiting crashed her vehicle on Route 30 in Cornwall on the evening of Jan. 1 and did not report it.

Bristol police on Dec. 3 responded to a family fight on West Street and, after investigating, arrested Christopher Prim, 54, of Bristol.

Vergennes police went out at night during the snowstorm two days before Christmas to make sure the streets were ready for the city’s Public Works Department to clean them.

Middlebury police cited Rachael Dos Anjos, 36, of Bristol for driving under the influence.

Vermont State Police followed up on a report of a stolen car last week and ended up jailing a man on Christmas Eve on suspicion he had committed 11 crimes.
