Bristol Police Log for Oct. 27

Between Sept. 12 and Oct. 16, Bristol police completed 119 foot patrols and 12 car patrols, conducted 51 traffic stops and checked the security at Mount Abraham Union High School 28 times, Bristol Elementary School 23 times and local businesses 22 times. 

Vergennes Police Log for Oct. 20

In a quiet seven-day span for the Vergennes Police Department, officers between Oct. 10 and 16 dealt with a couple disputes and three minor car accidents and ruled a resident’s untimely death was due to natural causes.

Middlebury police cited Abby E. Bray, 52, of Middlebury for simple assault, following an alleged incident near the intersection of Cross and Main streets on Oct. 15.

In one incident an officer was told someone tried to steal a speaker from a vehicle in the Shaw’s parking lot. In the other, an officer received information about stolen speed signs.
