The Middlebury Community Players are staging a reading of local author Jay Dubberly’s bittersweet comedy about a young couple hosting friends for the holidays in their newly purchased Vermont home, only to have the evening disrupted by an eccentric elderly stranger with a mysterious connection to the house. As the night grows increasingly strange, uncomfortable truths emerge about love, commitment and the difficulty of knowing when to hold on—and when to leave.
