MONTPELIER — Gov. Peter Shumlin was elected to another term in office this morning by earning an overwhelming majority of the votes cast in the Vermont Legislature.
After only brief discussion, members of the Vermont Senate and House of Representatives voted, 110-69, in favor of the incumbent Democratic governor over his Republican challenger, Scott Milne. Libertarian candidate Dan Feliciano received no votes.
