Vermont Adult Learning reopening in Middlebury’s Marble Works
MIDDLEBURY — The Addison County branch of Vermont Adult Learning (VAL) is re-opening its center at 99 Maple St. in the Marble Works Historical District in Middlebury. In-person, hybrid and fully online services will be soon available, the latter via VAL’s Online Learning Center.
The organization will move into its new offices June 12 and expects to be fully operational by July 12.
The new office is the former location of the Marble Works Pharmacy, which closed last September.
VAL has served tens of thousands adult learners, ages 16 years and older, since its founding in 1980. Its programs include basic education and literacy, high school completion, GED tutoring and testing, courses for English Language Learners, workforce readiness and development, and transition to post-secondary education and/or the workforce. Services are free.
“After 16 months of meeting with students remotely, I am very excited to not only re-open our doors to students and the community, but to do so at a new location in downtown Middlebury,” said Regional Director Natalie Reigle.
For more information, call (802) 388-4392, visit vtadultlearning.org or text VAL to 833-900-0907.
