Studio school to show their skills and sell their artwork Sat., July 18
MIDDLEBURY — The 10th annual Art on the Green, Middlebury Studio School’s annual craft fair fundraiser, is on Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on the Middlebury town green by St. Stephen’s Church.
School instructors and students will be selling their work. Also, Vermont artists from around the state will participate. Local favorites include Jane Eddy, pottery; Julia Emilo, painted gourds; Stacie Mincher, zipper art; Bob Weaver, wood; John Geery, photography; Jeri Canfield, quilts; Barb Nelson and Elin Lundstrom, jewelry; and other fine craftsmen and artists from around Vermont. There will be art activities for children, as well as a pottery wheel to try and a chance to win a free class.
Middlebury Studio School, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, offers both children’s and adult pottery and art classes. There are week-long art camps and pottery classes for children this summer. Adult art classes include Oils, Watercolors, Mixed Media Drawing, Thursday Morning Clay Hand Building, Wednesday Evening Pottery on the Wheel, and Visual Story Telling. Teens are welcome in adult classes.
