Middlebury man jailed on $100,000 bail after knife incident in Ferrisburgh
FERRISBURGH – A Middlebury man was lodged on $100,000 bail after being cited for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, in connection with a Saturday, May 14, incident in Ferrisburgh during which he allegedly ran into a crowd of people while brandishing a knife. The incident took place at 5:50 p.m.
Landon Urban, 30, is scheduled to answer to the charges on Monday, May 16, in Addison Superior Court, criminal division.
Vermont State Police said they were called to the scene off Plank Road in Ferriburgh to deal with a report of a drunken man who had allegedly been brandishing a knife at a public event. A witness told police the man, later identified as Urban, had fled the scene in a white Subaru Legacy headed to the city of Vergennes, according to authorities.
Vergennes police located the vehicle on Main Street. Authorities subsequently located and arrested Urban, who was lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Center on $100,000 bail, according to VSP.
Police did not report any injuries as a result of the alleged incident.
