Clinics for soccer officials offered

LUDLOW — The Vermont Soccer Officials Association has scheduled two clinics for anyone interested learning how to officiate soccer in order to do games at the elementary, middle or high school levels, or for those who would like to improve their officiating skills.
The first is a two-session clinic. The first session, classroom instruction, will be held on Thursday, July 21, at 6 p.m. at the Ludlow Recreation Center. The second session, a varsity boys’ scrimmage clinic, is set for on July 28 at 6 p.m. in Hartford at the Dothan Brook School. More information is available from Gary Blodgett at [email protected] about this clinic.
The second clinic will be held on Aug. 26 from 1 to 6:30 p.m. at Peoples Academy in Morrisville and include both classroom and scrimmage work. Those interested in this clinic should contact Frank Martel at [email protected] for information and/or a registration form.
The fee for either clinic is $75, $25 of which covers liability insurance and includes rulebooks to allow candidates to study for the clinic and study for an online officiating test to be taken within three days after the clinic.
