Essex swimmers outpace Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY — The Town of Essex Swim Team (TEST) defeated the Middlebury Swim Team (MST), 277-178, in July 7 Champlain Valley Swim League action at the Middlebury Municipal Pool.
Scoring in the meet was even through the medley relays and the butterfly races, with TEST leading by a single point, 66-65, but the visitors steadily built their lead during the rest of the evening.
Holly Staats won three girls’ 12-and-under races and Archie Milligan won three U-18 races to lead MST. Connor McNamara, Fairley Olson, Devon Kearns, Teagan Baumann and Julian Schmitt also touched the wall first for Middlebury vs. TEST.
