Girls’ hoop: Eagles, Otters & Tigers all victorious

ADDISON COUNTY — In high school girls’ basketball action late last week, Middlebury and Mount Abraham picked up wins, Otter Valley split two games, and Vergennes lost on the road.
TIGERS
On Friday, MUHS defeated visiting Milton, 50-39. Keagan Dunbar tossed in 27 points and hauled down nine rebounds as the Tigers improved to 10-6.
EAGLES
On Thursday, the Eagles coasted past winless host Missisquoi, 64-27. Emma Carter scored 21 to lead the rout as the Eagles reached double digits in wins at 10-6.
OTTERS
On Thursday, the Otters outlasted host Springfield, 36-29, to snap a three-game skid. Sophie Markowski scored 12 to lead the OV offense, and Courtney Bushey added seven.
On Saturday, host Enosburg overcame a scoreless first period to defeat the Otters, 44-35. OV is 6-9 heading into tough road games at Fair Haven on Tuesday and Windsor on Friday.
COMMODORES
On Thursday host North Country kept up its winning ways by defeating visiting VUHS, 53-30. Kylie Wright (16 points) and Carley Giroux (15) led the Falcons, while Ciara McClay andBrianna Vander Wey scored six apiece as the Commodores slipped to 7-9.
