ADDISON COUNTY — Thirteen local high school girls’ basketball players earned postseason recognition this winter.
Middlebury Union junior Keagan Dunbar was named the Lake Division Co-Player of the Year along with Colchester’s Gabby Gosselin, and Mount Abraham Union junior Emma Carter joined them as a Lake Division First-Team All-Star.
Otter Valley Union junior Gabriela Poalino earned First-Team Marble Valley League B Division recognition, while OV senior Courtney Bushey earned a Second Team nod.
Three players earned Lake Second Team honors: MUHS senior Payton Buxton, Vergennes Union senior Xzavia Berry, and   Mount Abe junior Emma LaRose.
In addition, OV senior Sophia Bloomer, Buxton and Berry were picked to play on the Division I and II squad in the annual North-South Classic at Windsor High School. There, Buxton won the D-I and II three-point shooting contest.
