Tiger Nordic skiers earn all-state nods
MIDDLEBURY — Unsurprisingly, the members of the Division II championship Middlebury Union High School boys’ and girls’ Nordic skiing teams were well represented on the D-II all-state teams. Both teams won D-II championships this winter.
Earning all-state nods from the girls’ team were Ursula Volz, Malia Hodges, Amelia Ingersoll, Isabel Rosenberg and Caroline Kimble. Kate Oster and Katherine Koehler received honorable mention.
Earning all-state nods from the boys’ team were Sam Hodges, Tom Hussey and Cade Christner, while Harlow Punderson earned honorable mention.
Recognition was determined by combining times from the two halves of the state meet, the classic and freestyle events. The skiers with the top 10 best combined times earned all-state status, while the skiers with the next five best combined times earned honorable mention.
