Mount Independence to host camp for kids 7-12

ORWELL — Fun and learning for children are on tap at the annual Mount Independence State Historic Site morning camp for children ages 7-12 from June 26-28, 9:30-12:30. The fee is $75 and pre-registration is required.
Children will try their hands at a variety of activities that explore the history of Mount Independence, especially during the American Revolution, when thousands of soldiers built independence on Lake Champlain 240 years ago. There will be stories, colonial clothes dress up, helping build a soldier’s brush hut for shelter, and craft activities.
Camp space is limited. The fee includes all materials and simple snacks each day. For more information and to pre-register contact the Mount Independence State Historic Site in Orwell, Vermont, at 802-948-2000.
