Ralph Myhre golfers top Neshobe team, notch holes-in-one

MIDDLEBURY — Two holes-in-one on Aug. 20 helped the Ralph Myhre Golf Course team defeat Brandon rival Neshobe Golf Club in the annual challenge between members of the two courses. Meanwhile, a third Ralph Myhre member picked up an ace in Middlebury on the same day.
Scoring holes-in-one during Ralph Myhre’s victory over Neshobe were Kit Wilson and Joe Bartlett, both on the Neshobe course on this past Sunday. Wilson scored his on Hole No. 12, and Bartlett sank his tee shot on Hole No. 16.
Back at Ralph Myhre in Middlebury, Steve Gronlund aced Hole No. 7 on the same day.
Ralph Myhre members will take on their Basin Harbor Club counterparts over Labor Day weekend.
In other Ralph Myhre competitions last week, the Tuesday Evening Men’s Scramble on Aug. 15 produced a tie between two teams. Dale White, Bernie Andrews, Dean George, Kevin Newton and Jim Craig comprised one group, and Josh Newton, Brian Lind, Bert Phinney and Ric Wheeler were the other.
In Thursday Night Bill Davidson Men’s Golf on Aug. 17 the trio of Joe Thilbourg, Dave Foran and Charlie Grigg prevailed. Earning second were Bill Brown, John Myhre and Eric Bergland, and Mike Adams, Neil Mackey and Pete Damone took third.
In the Friday Night Mixer on Aug. 18 the quartet of Nancy Reynolds, Nicole Laberge, Bernie Andrews and Joan Guertin took top honors.
