Watch out, drivers: Line painting on Middlebury streets Wednesday and Thursday nights
MIDDLEBURY — The streets of Middlebury will be hopping with activity for a couple nights this week. No, the college students are not back early, its just that the Middlebury Highway Department will be re-paining lines on some of the streets overnight.
Motorists should be aware that the road crew will be doing pavement line striping in the downtown area from 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, to 5 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, and then again from 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, to 5 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 1.
Specific road segments involved in this work will include:
1. Court Square
2. Court St., from the square south to Creek Road
3. North Pleasant St. from the square to Elm Street
4. Main Street, from North Pleasant St. to South St.
5. Cross St., from the roundabout to Court St.
Sections of these roadways may be closed to motor vehicles during painting operations; however, detour signs will be in place to direct traffic around the closures.
If you have any questions or concerns contact the Middlebury Highway Department at 388-4045.
