The Grift’s DoJo takes the stage at Marquis for second Hillbilly Ball
Let those pigtails down! It’s time to enjoy bluegrass blazing the best of the ’80s with a hillbilly twist — that’s right, we’re talking about the second annual Hillbilly Ball. It’s coming back for round two at the Middlebury’s Marquis Theater on Friday, Sept. 15, from 7:30 p.m.‘till midnight.
The Grift’s bluegrass band DoJo will rock the night away, fusing foot-stomping, down-home sounds of bluegrass with popular ’80s tunes. DoJo features Clint Bierman, Peter Day, Jeff Vallone and Matt Schrag, with special guest star Laura Thomas.
This year, a new King and Queen of the ball will be crowned. Fire up your best ’80s or country look and come on down.
The Hillbilly Ball is co-produced by the Marquis Theater, The Grift and Middlebury UndergrounD (MUD). Creative dress encouraged but not required. Tickets are $5 at the door. Food, beer, wine and specialty cocktails available for purchase. The Marquis is right in the heart of Middlebury at 65 Main Street.
